Some people don’t know the sacrifices an athlete does to be the best in his sport. Almost every an athlete has practice 3 times a week for at least 2 hours. I’m not complaining, actually I love practicing because I love playing my sport (volleyball). But most people don’t know the sacrifices that athletes have to do. For example there is a big party on Saturday that you really want to go, but you can’t because you have an important game on Sunday. It’s hard and sometimes you want to quit because it consumes a lot of time. A perfect example of this was this weekend; I played, in the Convention Center, Saturday and Sunday. I played 4 games in just one day and 3 of them were in a row, I was exhausted. I finished at the 10pm and had a game on Sunday at 8:00am. So technically I could just had a sleepover at a convention center with my team. It’s Sunday and was at 7:30a and we were already warming up for the game, but the truth is we were all tired. The game started and we were playing horribly, but as soon as we warmed up we played very good. We won the first game; we were already in the semi-finals. After we finished everyone was exhausted, we could barely walk. We lost the semi-finals with a very good team.  When we lost I was very upset and angry with myself. Then meanwhile we were stretching some teams came to congratulate us because even though we lost we did a great game and we gave it all. “Love is playing every game as if it’s your last.”
